Global Board
of Advisors
The TGC Global Board of Advisors was formed in April, 2005.
Since TGC creatively combines innovations from two very different
fields: horticulture and information technology, it is fitting
(and honorable) to have two pioneers from these fields as our
Co-Chairs: Dr. Marc Cathey and Vinton Cerf.
Likewise, since TGC connects such diverse areas – from
IT to culinary to media – we sought to establish a high-level
board that combines the ideas, expertise and resources of leading
thinkers and activists from these different fields – all
united by a common vision to improve nutrition, both in the
United States and overseas.
We are extremely lucky to have onboard advisors who are extraordinary,
proactive individuals, each highly respected in their field:
from the IT and horticulture sectors, through to the health,
education, international development, entrepreneurship, culinary,
entertainment and media sectors.
The Global Board of Advisors will provide TGC support with
strategic and technical advice, resource mobilization and promotion
and outreach.
Since TGC is a globe-spanning project rooted in local partnerships
and grassroots action, TGC will also form local and national
level advisory boards
